Why did we trade Gabs and not Porter to begin with?

I can't agree with his accessment of Moss tho...Short arming passes, running sloppy routes, and avoiding contact isn't going to make his teammates better.

Please, Please let this happen

The Raiders would be doing the right thing by Randy Moss and the right thing for their organization by making this deal. The best case for the Raiders, with Moss, is that Randy has a great last 11 games and then refuses to restructure his deal at the end of the year. The Raiders only have Moss for 11 more games, so getting a pick or two to build for the future is a no brainer. From Randy's side, it's obvious that he would much rather be in New England than Oakland.

As for Doug's comments, I would hope they would end some of the foolish crap I've been reading here, but I know better than that. Randy's teammates have always spoke highly of him. Both Mike Tice and Dennis Green are both rumored to have had an interest in having their new teams try to acquire him. Randy was voted a captain this year by his teammates and Doug says he works harder than ANYONE.

I personally believe Randy takes some plays off, which is fair game to rip him on. It's also fair game to rip him for saying he's not really worrying about football right now, but in the same breath remember he played his best games AFTER that comment, not before.

To suggest Randy Moss shortarms the ball is ridiculous. The guy was seriously injured last year trying to catch a badly underthrown ball by Kerry Collins where he was smashed by 3 Chargers. If you want to see shortarming, check out TO this year, a guy who's made his living on over the middle passes is a much bigger (thicker) player than Randy Moss. Heck, Courtney Anderson's arms are the one's that have been a little short at times this year on the Raiders squad and he's 270lbs.

The Patsies are in a week division and probably get a bye in the playoffs, so if they traded a first, it ends up being the 25-30 pick.....Not worth it....

Not worth it? Moss is a powder keg that eats up 10% of our cap space. We ain't winning with him so its best to cut our losses before he bleeds us dry.

I ain't suggesting it. I know it. He's done it numerous times this year. He got injured last year fighting for the ball but its clear this year he's not going to run such risks. And thats the major benefit of having Moss was the ability to throw the ball downfield and have him "get it".

If we trade Moss, we have Curry and Morant at wrs, so what do we do with the 30th pick from NE, take the fourth best WR in the draft. I'll keep Moss......

Patriots are a playoff team. No way do we trade for a 28-32nd pick.

Yea, the only way I trade Moss to N.E. is if I extract a pound of flesh and get both of their 1st round picks!

That would give us 3 1st rounders.

With the 1st one, I'd take Adrian Peterson.

With both of N.E.'s I'd package them to get Calvin Johnson.

With the rest of the draft I'd rebuild the Oline/Dline's.

I don't think a top five team would make a trade for two late first round selections unless we added a player or another pick.
