Its been alluded to, but if that was the case why are the Raiders running the verticl offense and not Petrino's? would only make sense then your lpayers don't have to learn a new scheme, system, terminology etc...

Well based upon the fact we hired Walsh and he hasn't really put a scheme together the players really haven't had to learn much. Look at the predictable plays he is running, any player with a 3rd grade education could pick up this system in 2 weeks. If you are a WR just go deep, if you are a QB drop back 5-7 steps every down, if you are an OLinemen just try to block someone.

If we would have hired a legitamate OC I would have to agree with you but does anyone expect to see Walsh here next year? So if Walsh is gone they will still be learning a new scheme, system, terminology etc...

I think that our next head coach will be Rob Ryan because he has the firey attitude, the players like him, and he even looks like a Raider. Why would Al give him a 3 year extention with not even hiring a HC yet. It could be true about Shell moving to G.M. next then that would give Ryan two years left on his contract to get something done. Maybe even bring Rex Ryan over from Baltimore to be Def Coord. Our defense would be bangin if those two were running the D together. Also maybe bring Rick Nuheisel (sp) over for Off Coord. since Al even interviewed him for HC last year or the year before.

Art and staff just dont seem to be interested to me thats why I think some of us are toying with the notion that someone else may be coming in next year. Gaining extra draft picks by trading decent players, not signing top free agents, TOM ****in WALSH being hired to run the show, just some questionable moves. If Art is here to stay then wed better get used to the cellar.

i dont see how art being our gm is a bad thing, this is one of the better draft classes ive seen us have in quite some time and i think a lot of that has to do with art.

and this would be a dream situation come this off season cause i dont have much to look forward to this season

Exactly. Which other OC would come in knowing it's a one year gig? Plus look at the fact that Al kept the majority of Norv's defensive staff on board. It's all speculation, but if you wanted to make a case you could argue detail by detail as to how it makes sense.
