Anyone else hear about this?

The rumor going around in SoCal is Al Davis has sold 15 percent of the team to an L.A. businessman, and the Raiders will return there.

first of all , 15% isn't ****. Why would that mandate a move to LA? Just a silly rumor for now.

I have been saying this for some time...football is a bussiness and the raiders organization would be crazy not to move to LA if given the chance. Considering the bigger market and the new stadium deal the raider should move. Oakland cant pay for a new stadium nor do they really want the Raiders.

This bussiness man only bought 15% becasue Davis needed ppl in LA if they want to make this work...the wheels are turning.....

Actually, the city of Oakland DOES want the Raiders. Jerry Brown and incoming mayor Ron Dellums have both said that it would be utterly crazy to let the Raiders walk away again. They stated that the taxpayers and city have put so much money into lawsuits, bringing the team back in '95, and improvements to the Coliseum, that it makes no sense at all to let the team walk after the 2010 season. The Raiders and the city of Oakland are supposed to resume lease extension talks shortly as well. As far as a new stadium though, that's anybody's guess.
