Koren Robinson released - do we consider him?

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...v=ap&type=lgns

The Vikes have released their talented, but addiction-prone wide receiver. I have always like this kid. Last season he showed some real flashes.

I know he has a problem with the bottle. But so do a lot of NFL players, more than we know. I am surprised the Vikes just released him outright.

Robinson has a potent blend of size and speed (6-1, 205). I like the idea of possibly having him lineup opposite Moss. Who would you cover then?

Talented but another distraction. He probably is going to get a suspension for his last problem isn't he?

I don't think this team needs him considering the depth we have at the receiver position. Not to mention that Art Shell doesn't want these kinds of guys around.

He may get a suspension, but I don't think it will be for a year. My take on Robinson is that he's not a head case or a behaviorally challenged individual. He just has an addiction problem. We used to specialize in reviving the careers of players like him. I think the Vikes over-reacted just releasing him outright. I think they were embarrased by the Love Boat incident last season and are just very sensitive. Robinson has talent.

No. The objective is to lose the turds, not acquire them. We had a team full several years ago and it showed.

While one can be singled out and left to decompose, a 'click' of turds would undo everything we have gained in the last few months by undermining the authority of the coaching staff and the new no-nonsense approach.

The obvious answer is no.

No! It is bad enough we have Jerry Porter.

We are building team unity. We don't need problem children and distractions.

This guy has serious character flaws.

Just recently he was popped for DUI. If that weren't bad enough, he has a suspended licence.

Is that a person of character?

Just cause he can catch a football dosn't make him special.

He is a jerk.

i agree!

plus, moss, gabriel, curry, morant, they aer all a better fit for our team, i wont even mentino porter cause i am not sure how big of a role he will have, if he gets his act together, good, if not, fine, we have other options, we dont need robinson.
