Al was going to take him in the 7th round when he came out, if I remember right. But Dallas picked him.

I've done a whole thread on our QB trifecta. Considering all factors, it may be one of the best QB corps in the league. I believe Aaron is in the bottom 5 in terms of pay for starting NFL QBs yet, he has quality career numbers. Tui, a 6-year journeyman, is only $477K this season, possibly the lowest paid 6-year experienced QB in the league. And then there's Andrew with all of that potential.

Drew who? Isn't he the baseball guy? Otherwise, if Bill doesn't see any use for him, then ... .

It's official. Assuming he clears waivers, which he probably will, he'll be a free agent.
_______________

This just in from beat man Todd Archer...

The Cowboys made official Thursday what Bill Parcells announced on Wednesday: Drew Henson is no longer with the Cowboys.

The club officially waived the quarterback Thursday after it found no takers for a possible trade. Because Parcells announced Henson would not be with the team in 2006, the Cowboys did not have leverage for a trade, and the remaining six years of Henson’s contract are guaranteed.

If a team claims Henson on waivers, it would be required to pick up the contract.

I think I remember someone saying that. Someone at draft coverage or this board or whatever. Anyways, I knew a thread about this guy would come up as soon as someonme heard about him getting cut.

As far as Henson goes, screw that.I've seen quite a few Cowboys games over the past two seasons, and he never impressed me that much.
I hope we purse RFA Matt Shaub next offseason. We'd have to give Atlanta our 3rd round draft pick if they didn't match our offer to him,but considering his talent, that's alot of value for a 3rd round pick.
Shaub has always impressed me,and he has the arm for our offense as well.

Sorry to break this to you but I guarantee you that the Falcons will protect Shaub with the highest tender which would require 1st AND 3rd round compensation.

We don't need a proven loser to come in here for a look see. I'ld rather draft a late rounder and see what he's got in 07'

We got our QBs. Another QB coming in for a "look see" ain't gonna happen - end of story.

Art likes this team. So do I. Art makes it a point to let them know he likes them. Even in these lean seasons, most pundits agreed that we looked formiable "on paper" hence, we underachieved. Coaching was our primary issue - not Kerry, not the O-line, not the LBs, not our DBs - coaching. I've posted before, I thought solid coaching would remedy most of our issues we had during those lean seasons, and Art is one hell'uva solid coach - agreed?

Drew Henson isn't even in the thoughts of the farts of the Raiders.

The amount, and rounds of the pick(s) that Atlanta would request from us would be just a 3rd,or a 3rd,and another pick, depending on our qualifying offer.
I see what you're saying though.If they wanted a 1st and 3rd,then they'd be **** out of luck.
