Question Cower to coach Raiders in 2007?

JUst a thought, however has anyone noticed that Cower and the Steelers are moving apart? Has anyone picked up the fact that his extension is on HOLD? Think about the set up here! Al Davis moving Art Shell into a Lifetime agreement, Al is no spring chicken, one must wonder what the possibilites are here. Shell running the ship, bringing Cower to the Raiders to coach would be a very nice fit. Cower loves power football and is hardcore! Just a thought, maybe we need to pay close attention to this behind the scenes!

Sounds good but why not just stay in Pittburgh. That is the part I can't make any sense of.

Sorry dude. No way is this organization going to pay someone 7+ million a year to coach. And supposedly thats about what Cower is hoping to get in his next contract.

his extension is on hold becuase he isn't sure if he wants to coach after his contract is up.I love bill cowher that is one of the only reasons why I was cool with them winning the super bowl(and bettis possible the nicest guy in football)but what we really need now is some continuity and not a coach change every year.

Cower will not coach the Raiders...Look we got Art Shell...And I Think The Raiders Will Be a Very Succsesfull(sp) Team...Now i know your idea is to keep Shell as the Owner Right??? If i heard correctly. But to be honest i dont think Shell can afford to own the Team. It would cost houndreds of Millions for the Rights to the Players and Stadium. And Besides Art Loves To Coach, do you honestly think he just wanted the extra cash...no!....he is probably a millionare, so he just came back because he loves Coaching.

If Cowher does come back to coach next year it WON'T be w/ Oakland. He is said to be burnt out from the grind of the NFL season, why the hell would he come to coach a team that, let's be honest here, isn't the most stable situation in the world. He's gonna live in NC polishing his chin for the next several years.

Wasn't it Cowher who told Wiz to pass on Oakland?
