If we could go back to the 2004 draft, would you use as our #1 pick on;

Roy Williams
Phillip Rivers
Sean Taylor
Kellen Winslow
Ben Roethlisberger

Over Robert Gallery, let me hear your opinions...................

I would have taken Roethlisberger.........we would have won a superbowl by now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gallery is is still learning a position that he was a "stud" at, big ben is the man already not still learning.

I am in Limbo between BigBen and Taylor
BigBen would have made a great Raider QB
Taylor has offfield issues but thsi kid can flat out play ball
Gallery needs to show me he can play LT this year or else he will be a bust. Let me explain the other two one went to the probowl the other was close.

yeah I would say that Gallery is a border line bust, I would have taken Big Ben or Roy Williams.

LOL. Big Ben doesn't equal a superbowl. The Raiders have to fix the entire team.

These are the two players I have had trouble picking. Adding Sean Taylor to our defense would have changed the whole mentality of all of our defenders. His toughness would have brought a lot to the Raiders team, and we would be set for years with Taylor/Huff at the safety positions. He would have brought the fear back to the Raider defense that was present when Jack Tatum was on the field.

However, adding Big Ben would have given us a franchise QB that we could have for many years as well. He also brings leadership in the locker room, which would be something that would help the Raiders team as a whole. But I think adding Big Ben would not have brought the Raiders a Superbowl between that draft and now. Big Ben won the Steelers a Superbowl because they had a great running game, and a great defense. The Raiders do not have either of these yet. So I do not agree with the statement that Big Ben would have brought us a Superbowl by now at all.

Like I said, I am pretty conflicted between these two. If I had to choose, I would probably get Ben R. just because I can't see myself (if it was my decision) passing up a franchise quarterback who is also a great leader. But it is a very close call between him and Sean Taylor.
