Porter returned to Practice

Does everyone not care I havent seen it posted.

Quote:
For the first time in a week, wide receiver Jerry Porter (strained calf) participated in a full-pads practice on Tuesday. "Sure, it's good to see him out here," coach Art Shell told the San Francisco Chronicle. "If we can get anybody out here working, that makes our team better when we don't have to tax any one position." Porter worked with the second team.

Quote:
* Wide receiver Jerry Porter, who continues to work out with the second-team offense, made his most impressive play of camp when he went across the field and, with his arms stretched out, caught a pass on his fingertips from Tuiasosopo.

''Hey Porter,'' yelled safety Jarrod Cooper from the sidelines.

''Why can't you do that with the (starters)?''

Porter, showing a rare moment of levity, chuckled and replied, ''I'm not with the (starters).''

i hope things work out with porter to me this is his team and im sure we can all feel his frustration. I mean we as fans go through the same thing we hate to lose and everything is suspect when u get a custom to losing. Maybe he was just venting or just being an ass, sometimes we all say things we regret and we dont mean when were angry.

i for one like porter if he wants to get into shape with someone else than the team i dont find that a problem i mean if that is what he is gunna look like when he came to camp i have no beef with that he looks T.O'd out he's lost weight so maybe he is faster who knows. what i care about is him following orders being a team player stop being selfish and step as a leader.

what this team needs is to relax a bit and have fun go back to playing football what they enjoy. with all that they have been through and all the pressure they have on them. i would love to see our players have fun and smile and gel as a unit as a team and bond like brothers so everyone has eachothers backs.

what i would do is get a motivational speaker that guy from shallow hall i forgot his name he is good makes me wanna get going lol but really something different to change the ora here.

we need to be tough also we cant let other teams push us around we have to control teams exploit there weakness and attack that spot. we need to get some attitude in here for game day it's all about attitude if u go in there mean mad and have a reason to win will go all long way we cant worry so much about if were gunna make a mistake or have any doubts. the team has to go in the game with the mind set of kicking the other teams ass and we need a guy on the team who will get them fired up ala "Ray lewis".

i have so much love for the raiders and al davis and i hope for the best always but we cant our way with everything this is the nfl there are what 32 teams? it's hard to get a championship team together these days. so we will have to suffer and we will rejoice it's like a relationship there are bad times and good times. i have faith in the raiders from the owner to the players they want to win al wants to win and as long as they want the same thing we should support the team as fans and have some understanding that it's not easy we all make mistakes we learn and grow, now sometimes it takes teams longer than others and as fans this is where we are tested the most will we fold or will we back the team up and rejoice when we return to glory?

me, IM BACKING THE RAIDERS UP BABY!!!

The Raiders have enough problems without throwing a soap opera in the mix. I hope Porter straightens out and realizes that.

JP.........has talent know doubt about that........one thing about NFL players that makes me mad is when they complain about money. However in JP's case its not about money. correct me if im wrong JP's whole thing is with the OC. He hasnt been in the NFL of over 12 yrs.
Now if your car breaks down you take it to a mechanic. you dont take it to a mechanic that hasnt worked on a car in over 12 years. So i do understand what JP upset about. Personally i believe that Shell hired the best coaches that he could fined

Great post TownBusiness. I still believe that this team wants Jerry, in the words of the Godfather, to find his way. He can still contribute and just needs to put his head down and do it. We will see this play out in the coming days I am sure...

im still not convinced that his Calf Injury isnt fake

Calf Injuries and Hamstrings are excuses to get out of practice, theres no X-ray or anything to prove that they exist or not. Ask Tom Jackson, he would take days off with the Donks by claiming his hamstring was sore. T.O. is doin the same thing right now, but I think Porter's is more legit then T.O's because Porter is showing up at camp and participating, and hes dragging behind in the sprints probably because of his calf.. but he is practicing if he were faking a calf injury to miss practice he wouldnt show up at all.
