i dont get this at all. why would we trade porter, he is GOOD... who would we trade him for!! so what he skipped training camp and he is mad that we have a commanding coach, but seriously who trades a good player for those reasons...this happenes all the time in the NFL.

besides the fact i say DON'T TRADE PORTER!!!!!!

the raiders did get a WR in the draft, bringing our roster total to a whopping 13.

thats not honest or logical, there is a better WR on our roster below porter on the depth chart, and we have one of the deepest WR corps, if not the deepest in the entire league.

wow, its a good thing you aren't calling the shots in the front office. if you watched a single game last season, there would be absolutely no way you would ever want to bring collins back in, even to bring Al's jumpsuits to the dry cleaners. and why would you ever want to bring ty law in when he would be eating up valuable experience time for a secondary with three starters age 25 or under. law is clearly on the decline and please don't try to indicate otherwise by a large number of interceptions.

I feel he's expendable. With the emergence of Gabriel, show Jerry the door. The conflicts of egos between him and Moss could become costic. If the price is right and a deal comes our way, pull the trigger!

If we wanted to trade Porter we should've pressed the button a few months back and got Lendale White before Tennesee.

Unfortunately, some people don't look through the glasses of a USC Alummni and hardcore trojans fan for life, and apparently one of those people is Al Davis.

i really dont want to be a troll on this thread but if we could have gotten a high second round pick in exchange for porter, why would we have taken lendale white? if you want a running back, why not a change of pace back like maurice drew instead of a lamont clone?

for a high second round pick we would have been able to fill a need with someone like claude wroten, deuce lutui, or darryl tapp.

5.4 mil if he stays, 5.6 mil if he goes.

Porter has been on the trade block for months, apparently Al has not had any offers that he believes are worth his (Porter) value.

As OG said.....stay tuned.

I will definately stay tuned! The cap hit doesn't seem as bad as a thought it would be. All I care about is winning. If trading a disgruntled player helps us out, I am all for it. I just wish Porter would wake the hell up and become the leader he is capable of.

Slightly interesting, the idea of a trade, but I really don't care too much, especially since this is a rumor. We'll be good with or without him I think.

If you really want control of the team, get Madden 09 and build the franchise cuz that's as close as you'll get.

Sources close to the Raiders indicate that WR Jerry Porter isn't the happiest camper with the way new head coach Art Shell has pushed for more discipline.

Well, if thats the reason for his rant then get him out of town..AGAIN, I want him to be a Raider and I want him to succeed as a Raider. Lets see how this developes

Porter will be used as trade bait in next year's draft to obtain one of the top RB's in the draft. ie Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch, etc...
