Saints Conspiracy Theory?
I don't know if anyone has heard this rumor, but the NFL has supposedly bought some acreage in Anaheim. The scuttle butt is that the Texans were “forced” (coerced) to pass on Reggie Bush so he could go to the Saint's. The Saint's would then be moved to Los Angeles, thereby taking Reggie Bush back to the Los Angeles market he was so popular in. This would draw bigger crowds to the benefit of the NFL in the second largest TV market. At least that is the conspiracy theory!

I don't know the voracity of this, nor do I have any links, it was scuttle butt I heard from both a Texans and a Chump fan. Can anyone substantiate this or is it just another grassy knoll conspiracy theory?

Please don't shoot the messenger. I swear I am innocent in all of this and am just curious. Hey, that is why I am posting in the Rumor Mill Forum...

I heard about this on a different message board on Rivals. I didn't believe it, but this is the conspiracy theory that I heard (it is pretty much exactly what Wookie heard):

1. The texans pass on Reggie Bush
2. Bush goes to the Saints, helping NO get fans back to the stadium and get the franchise back on its feet.
3. Charlie Casserly then gets a desk job in the NFL for going through with the deal.


I obviously didn't believe it, but it is an interesting conspiracy......

BTW.............if these are all true. I think we can safely say that all that has happend with the Raiders i.e. Tuck is something to think about "The Patriots" winning a SB after 911. Oh well

Nation. I live in San Diego, and I work for the Chamber of Commerce. As you know the Chargers are free to look anywhere in the county for a new stadium deal. Our VP, and he was only taking an educated guess, tells me he believes that Spanos already has a deal in place to move the Chargers to Anaheim. They are only waiting it out at this point. Who knows.

The only flaw in the conspiracy theory is that this season the Saint's have sold more season tickets than they ever have. To me it would be a bad move to take them out of NO after selling so many tickets. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.
