Its kind of like the theory that the Patriots won the Super Bowl in 2001 just because the US needed Patriots

This wouldn't make sense because the move isn't going to happen for a few years and who knows if Bush will be as good as the hype.

Dude that was Raiders.vs.Dolphins. I remember that weekend too well, it was when Jay Fiedler ran into the enzone untouched because Grady Jackson ran him out of the pocket and then suddenly stopped running.

As far as rumors like New Orleans passing on Bush for a little "sweetener"...

Truth is always stranger than fiction.

That goes for the Patriots winning the SB "with help" in '01.

No one will ever know for sure. Too many heads would roll.

Good point, but that one can stand on it’s own. It was a corrupt call, plain and simple. Even the most extreme Raider-haters of all don’t deny it, not even Patriot fans. I was surprised the NFL didn’t loose a huge amount of popularity over it because of how blatantly obvious it was.

Trouble is selling suites. Still, over 90% of the people that had money to go to Saints games still live within an hour of the Superdome. New Orleans is a good place to be right now. The feds and insurance companies are dumping billions of dollars into the local economy. I know at least 3 people that made almost a million dollars since October. There is money to spend.

Don't believe in any conspiracy theory. Moving the Saints would leave an incredible void in the gulf south. I've heard that the Chargers may be the team moving.

Still, will LA fans pay to see the Saints or Chargers? Hope they have new ownership.

The league is using the LA tatic to scare every city into building a new stadium for every team. They don't really want a team there until they have milked that. Then they will create an expansion team that will create about 30 million for every franchise in royalty fees.

Bush wont sell many tickets as a kick returner. We need to get Deuce out of there.

As for the LA thing. The Chargers just need to go a lil north to the Orange county line and build a stadium. Then they could call themselves the LA Chargers of Orange County via Sand Diego. They could have all of So Cal locked up!! :P

Ef them though, people in LA hate Fuggin San Diego more than San Francisco, the only "market" they would have is the people who drive up to LA from San Diego to watch the games. People in LA dont give a crap only the NFL does. Nobody will ever sell out a stadium there, unless they make the Trojans a Pro team that is.

I live in the OC and have been trying to follow the possibility of a team moving here pretty closely. I haven't heard anything about the NFL buying acreage in Anaheim, but the city of Anaheim is basically giving away prime real estate next to Angels Stadium for a new NFL stadium. The only problem is that either the NFL or some lucky owner has to pay to build the stadium.

Right now it looks like the more likely destination for the next NFL team in LA is the Coliseum, i.e. the same stadium that the USC Trojans play in.

The Chargers are going to the OC. Alex Spanos is just going through the motions with Chula Vista and Oceanside, but neither will be able to beat the deal OC is giving. This is a typical back door deal that violates all kinds of laws and policies, that's why it will play itself out as a competition.
