Jets still interested in Jay Cutler

The Jets' interest in Vanderbilt quarterback Jay Cutler remains high, so much so that they're in discussions with the Baltimore Ravens to try to obtain him with the 13th pick overall, according to a person who has been in contact with several NFL teams and has first-hand knowledge of strategy in the top portion of the NFL Draft.

I was pretty impressed to know that Cutler, who is a QB, can bench 400 lbs. That's not a good reason to draft him though, just an interesting tid-bit.

If im not mistaken i recall watching the recap of the combine on NFL network and they said Cutler did like 20 reps of 225 while Mangold was doing his reps and ended up with 24.

I'm not getting this; if the Jets are so interested why don't they pick him 4th and not trade. There's no guarantee he'll be there 13th so I don't get this statement.

Out of the 3 QBs he's the most likely to slip past the five so if they can get him later and pick up additional picks they are going to do it.
