Has us staying at #7, picking Ngata and trading it to the Jets pick at #4....
Who could it be that we want? Are we gonna take who's ever left after the Titans pick Leinart or Young? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...nfl/index.html

I didn't read the word QB though. It could be Hawk....but you're probably right. We'd be trading up for YOUNG (boo). I've come to grips with the fact that we may draft Vince Young with the 7th pick. BUT I DO NOT WANT TO TRADE UP FOR HIM!!!! I know, I know, I'm a Vince Young Hater, bla bla bla. I don't hate Vince Young. I just don't want to have to build a team and a playbook around the guy (which he would need to succeed.) He's too much of a big question mark for me to mortgage the franchise by giving away a million draft picks. -North- Here's hopin we stay at 7 and by some type of miracle AJ Hawk, Mario Williams or Matt Leinart falls to us! |

I'd also like it to be Hawk. But I've never seen Al move up in the draft to pick a LB. I think it'd be a first for him. The Titans are said (rumor) to be very high on Young and want to draft him. If that holds true, the draft could look like this:
Texans - Bush NO - Mario Williams Titans - Young Raiders - Leinhart Just a possibility. Another scenario to ponder. If we did trade with the Jets it does offer some possibilities for the Raiders. Personally, I want either Hawk or Huff. Williams will be gone by the time we pick. Besides we already have our bookends with Johnstone and Burgess. Either way, I'll be glued to the TV on Saturday...

here's what i read on rotoworld
The New York Daily News reports one rumor floating around is the Jets possibly trading down to pick No. 7 to draft Haloti Ngata. While it's not sexy for Jets fans, it makes a lot of sense. New York wants to accumulate picks and Ngata is a prototype 3-4 DT. The Raiders would move up to draft Vince Young. We're not sure where Dewayne Robertson would fit in here. Apr. 25 - 10:31 am et |
