A Clemson grad friend of mine keeps insisting that the Raiders are after Whitehurst. Apparently, that is the rumor around Clemson. Any truth to this rumor? My friend has quite a few inside contacts in the Clemson Athletic Deperatment. I don't think that he is completely making this up.

I like Whitehurst. I think he will be one of the better QB's taken in this draft. He is a better passer then Coyle, Cutler, and Young.

biggest knock on whitehurst is inconsistency, but
the few times i watched him, he looks good enough for

What your post doesn't include is what round? Therefore, probably like many other draft prospects, the Raiders could indeed be looking at Whitehurst in a late round or something. The more competition, the merrier.
