Raiders to #2 in three team trade?

Hi folks. I'm a Jet fan. My life is hard enough so please don't bust my chops!

But there is a major buzz going on on the Jets insider board (http://www.jetsinsider.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=115575) about a three team trade that would involve either the Jets or Titans along with the Saints and Raiders. The object would be to get the Raiders to #2 to select Leinart, while keeping the Saints in range to get Mario or D'Brick. It's complicated, if you read the thread. The guy who started it -not me!- apparently has some serious credibility with past predictions. He's said to be an insider of sorts.

The logic makes sense. Al Davis would not only like Leinart as a new Stabler, but he'd like the California marquee player to help with a new stadium deal and/or a triumphant return to LA.

Thoughts? Hear anything?

That would be nice, Leinart being a Raider and bringing the team back to LA. Things couldn't get much better than that!

Thanks for the link.

Its funny watching others plan out the drafts with trade scenarios that look terrific to them and in their favor while incredibly stupid for the one making the trade.

Let's see if I have it right, Raiders first 3 picks in the draft and Porter for Leiner?

I mean, after all, this puts the Raiders in the Super Bowl right? The team was so close last year. One pick should put them over the top!

And they print that and believe it with straight faces.

In the event you are starting to believe it, snap out of it!

This has stupid and rediculous written all over it.

The Raider's picks, 1-3 are high. One can expect 3 players that will impact a team that finished 4-12.

Especially, this draft where linemen and linebackers are a plenty.

Picture this, defensive lineman in the 1st, linebacker in the 2nd and an offensive lineman in the 3rd. A small skatback speedy change of pace running back in the 4th.

Damn, this team has made a major overhaul.

If that trade happens, I'll come back and tell you what a sap I was.

Until then, get real.

I didn't see another thread on this one. I saw moving up to #2, I saw Leinart, didn't see anything specific. I'd've preferred not to start a thread, so I really did look first.

And listen, I agree with this quote above. There are rumors of the Jets moving up to #1 for Reggie Bush, and my reaction is the same! The way I'm reading that scenario is that it would be the Jets or the Titans involved, the one willing to take less. So it's not like I see it as any kind of blockbuster for NY. Just wanted to see what the thoughts might be here.

Al Davis does have a history of the unexpected, and moving up in the draft. I'm not big on believing everything I read especially on the internet, but I could see that one having legs.

Thanks. I have no interest in trolling. Frankly, I think Raiders' fans should love the Jets! You got LaMont from them for free. The Jets sent you their first rounder as part of the Doug Jolley deal, and, to top it off, they sent Herm Edwards off to coach the KC Chiefs! What more could you ask for?!?

Maybe the Raiders should send them Jerry Porter just for being so nice!

LOL!

I think the Raiders owe the Jets for throwing that game! If the Jets lose, they're picking third!

They must go defense unless a qb falls into their lap and then they have a choice to make.

We don't like porter anyways. As long as you guys finally accept Ben Davidson we'll call it even.
