Moving up to 2?
The Mercury News said that we are interested in moving up as high as 2. What do you guys think about this? I think Matt Leinart is the next Ken Stabler and if we can get him for the small cost of a 2nd round pick I am all for this.

For one the Raiders will not trade up to take Leinert or Young because both are overrated. Both will be busts, Ryan Leaf style. I'm tired of this talk of trading up. There is not one player in this draft that will make this team a playoff contender...with Art Shell the coach. The best thing to do is trade down and get more picks, for help on D. This team will go nowhere with Shell and Walsh. If we had the first 10 picks in this draft...Shell and Walsh could not bring this team to a Super Bowl. So why trade up for 1 player? Doesn't make sence.

This team has too many needs and holes to fill to be trading up. They'd have to give up some very valuable picks to move up to the #2 spot. There will be a good player available at #7 and even if the Raiders trade down there will be good players available.

I'd much rather trade DOWN and pick up an extra second round pick. Unless a player like Hawk is still on the board at #7.
