Moving up to 2?

The Mercury News said that we are interested in moving up as high as 2. What do you guys think about this? I think Matt Leinart is the next Ken Stabler and if we can get him for the small cost of a 2nd round pick I am all for this.

****.....if we move up to #2....I'd rather take the best player available, which will be either, Reggie Bush or Mario Williams, hopefully Mario.....

Burgess & Mario at ends....with Hamilton and Johnstone also there for us.....

LORD LORD LORD......

For one the Raiders will not trade up to take Leinert or Young because both are overrated. Both will be busts, Ryan Leaf style. I'm tired of this talk of trading up. There is not one player in this draft that will make this team a playoff contender...with Art Shell the coach. The best thing to do is trade down and get more picks, for help on D. This team will go nowhere with Shell and Walsh. If we had the first 10 picks in this draft...Shell and Walsh could not bring this team to a Super Bowl. So why trade up for 1 player? Doesn't make sence.

This team has too many needs and holes to fill to be trading up. They'd have to give up some very valuable picks to move up to the #2 spot. There will be a good player available at #7 and even if the Raiders trade down there will be good players available.

Fair enough. We all have rights to an opinion, even if that opinion may be wrong.

Exactly! Isn't this obvious to all of these draft experts? I can only hope that it's obvious to Al.

I'd much rather trade DOWN and pick up an extra second round pick. Unless a player like Hawk is still on the board at #7.

Man I can't wait to repost this come mid season when we have one of those QBs and destroying people. You might want to think about changing your name then and hiding until the end of the season.
