Far(Out OF)Gas is not that fast and when he gets hit by DB's he flies backwards and lands on his arse he is by far the weakest runner ive ever seen. I think Chris Carr would be a better running back then this sorry excuse for a back. And Omar Easy made Fargas look like a Chump.

Technically... it is free information... just funny that people think they are getting it for cost at their ESPN insider pass

I think Fargas, under Shell/Walsh/with Slater line, will do well. I think he catchin negative stuff that originated with "Callahans non-running WC" and "Norv's O genius." Most back ups get around 40-50 attempts per year.

2003 - under Callahan - best year utilized, 40 attempt/203 yards, 5.1 average
Zack - 48 attempt/148 yards, 3.0 average
Garner - 120 attempts, 553 yards, 4.6 average

Our O line was then gutted (lost Robbins, Collins, Kennedy) AND no real FB
2004 - under Norv - 35 attempts/126 yards, 3.6 average (Hires Amos)
2005 - under Norv - 5 attempts/28 yards, 5.6 average (Hires LJ)

He averages 5.6 yards receiving. 2003 - 19.7 yards average on kick off returns, not utilized there under Norv.

21 ST tackles. In all touches only fumbled 1 time.

I say give him a real shot under Shell/Walsh. Its not like a 3rd or 4th rounder is going to come in and perform better than Fargas as a COP back (if you still plan on LJ being the main guy).

I don't think RB (as opposed to FB) is a main concern. Fix/coach up the OL and get FB and all of the RBs will do well. I think Fargas can be our Willie Parker. Attention should be focus on G, LBs, DL.

Good Post!!!

Add headaches, for coaches & fans, and you're right on the money.
No coaches we've had have ever been turned on to that guy, including chucky himself. Just wasting a roster spot....another deadweight issue.

**Oakland needs to address this issue in the draft. Between kc & den, Oakland needs two QUALITY backs, that can & will perform.

and some raider fans and media said that the raiders dont have a plan!!!!
simple to see even if you dont believe in the rumors that the raiders have been trying to look at all the possiblilitys and make the best choses. they have too many players thay could pick at the the seven spot for once i would like them to trade down if the baltimore trade could true. i still think its easyer to move up rather than down.

Fellas in my opinion this guy hasn't been given a legit chance to play with a disciplined and sharp line. He was a projected first rounder before he got injured in college. Given our finantial situation I would understand why they keep him around to see what he really has. Defense will be a priority(o-line if whe can get lucky)on this draft. Hopefully we'll have a good one this year...Go Raiders!

My grandmother has informed me that Al called her to come in for a workout, apparently she has been chosen to compete with Fargas for the backup spot. So expect to see Fargas solely on special teams.

A.J. Hawks versatility wasn't evident when he was on the sidelines for a quarter of the obviuos passing downs for OSU. That's worrisome.
