According to FOXSports.com's John Czarnecki, the New Orleans Saints are definitely trading out of the second spot in the NFL Draft, and they are looking for a defensive player.


I wonder what the Saints are up to. Staying at #2 would give them the defensive player they wanted.

Stallworth and Charles Grant are both entering the last year of their rookie deals. After seeing Bentley leave this year I'm betting both those guys are being shopped. Also, Grant's contract status is one reason why I can see the Saints grabbing Mario.

Grant had 2 and a half sacks in 16 games last year. Seriously. Stallworth just got arrested. He also has an incredible ability to not get open despite his blazing speed. Pass on both, believe me.

Ravens get Jerry Porter, and our #7 pick

Raiders get Suggs, the #13 pick, and Baltimores 2 & 3 from next year..

This was posted on another board yesterday, and the guy says his source is
solid..Balt. wants to move up, and the Raiders want Suggs..

Still looks a little lopsided in the Raiders favor, which is probably whats
holding it up, if this is true

Does anyone know anything about this? Because If it was true I would do it and put Suggs a DE and draft E.Simms or J.Williams with pick #13. Then if we get Simms then in the 2nd round we get a SS, but if we get Williams then we can get T.Howard in the 2nd rnd.

It's not as lopsided as we would think.

Essentially, the Raiders would be trading Vince Young and Jerry Porter to Baltimore for Suggs and a second tier blue chipper in this year's draft, plus second and third rounders next year. Sounds about right.
