Pure rumor, citing ESPN radio.

According to ESPN radio Minnesota has traded their first round pick and this years 2nd round pick(48 overall) and next years second round pick and a conditional 3rd round pick for the 49ers #6 overall pick.

Doubtful this far ahead of the draft, but hey...It's the offseason. About all you're going to hear about the draft until it happens are rumors.

if thats the case they could be doing that to draft a QB, maybe Vince young, i hope so, means one of the Big D players could fall to us, or Davis

If it is true they will definitely be after a QB.
Damn 49ers. That is a sweet deal. I would have taken it in an instant.

this is good IMO beacuse they will be targeting ever a QB a RB or possibly a WRs and gives us a better chance at hawk ro williams

I can see this happening for sure, becuase SF have made noises about wanting to trade back and fill the roster with more draft picks, obviously the Vikes want a QB, but who?

It has to be Cutler or Young, i wonder if Al's 'Vince Young' smokescreen has tricked the Vikes into moving up?

Minnesota not only got rid of their franchise qb. Now they are going to give up all their picks for a qb. I don't think their is anybody in the draft that is worth that.

Yes but we can only get Hawk if Mario goes at #5, but I don't think he falls to that pick, so we probably still only have a slightly better chance, but we would need to trade up to insure getting one of those two guys.

We need to not do something stupid. Stay where we are. We will get a player to fill a need at #7 regardless of who is picked before us. We could take the best Safety in the draft if thats what it comes down to and still have the rest of our picks to fill some other holes nicely. Trading away that high 2nd or third, especially this year, could be trading away a good linebacker or guard that could serve us well for years to come.

With the draft being a crap shoot, the more good picks we land, the better our chance of landing some good players.

i doubt that minni is that dumb unless the conditional portion of the deal is a hard condition to reach.
if minni does move up then we have a shot at picking up hawk

If true, this could be good for us as it would not give us the dilemma of choosing between Vince Young and a defensive player that we need more. If they're moving up one slot ahead of us, it could be for Vince, and I would guess that Road Warrior A.J. Hawk will be for us at #7. Damn I can't wait for the draft!
