Wow.....

another great player visiting oakland. al has really lost it. instead going after a guy like julian peterson or milloy were going after douchebags like this who will never and have never done nething in their nfl career. GREAT.....now thats what i call a commitment to excellence

You're way off base here man. Signing the big names isn't the answer always, because if it was we would have won more than 4 games last year. It's about finding players who will fit in the system and work togther.

We have a lot of money right now, we seemed focused on the draft, I actually like how the Raiders are handling this off-season so far, for once it looks like the mind set of the Raiders is changing.

I would like to see a young QB take the reigns ... an Andrew Walter or a Josh McCown or even trade up for a Leinhart or someone like that. Be good for years to come, not just the flavor of the year.

talk to me mid season next year guys who think that this is the way to go. lemme know how were doing.......ur talking like were trying to be the patriots and sign no names that will fit into a system to help us win. WERE NOT THE PATRIOTS. the patriots have three things that we dont have, a great coach, a great defense, and a top 3 quarterback in the league.

We brought in a pro bowlers / veterans / big namers ... whatever you want to call them the last 3 years ... Hamilton, Sapp, Moss etc. and like you said 13 games the last three seasons ... obviously it's time for a different approach.

sapp was at de his first year here. when he moved to tackle he may have gone to the pro bowl if not for being injured. hamilton is a leader, and moss........well u have to have someone who will actually look to throw at the best receiver in the game if u want him to show how great he is.

That is what is called depth... we need depth at some positions, but the best part of it, is that they don't cost to much against the cap and we need some camp fodders for training camp... so don't get to hot on this... we should better focus on draft and othre things... and if you think Big Al has lost his touch, then you are totally newbies in the bussiness, the Raiders will go outand get a few bg names in the free agency...

Seriously man, you have been throwing a hissy-fit since we didn't screw ourselves by trading for Culpeppper. All I've seen you do since that "fell through" (I don't think we were even persuing it as hard-core as the media hyped it up to be) is nay-say anybody we're even rumored to be interested in. Since we didn't trade for bum-knee, problem-child Culpepper, should we just not do anything in FA?

Ya think that maybe we are trying a different approach this year....one that makes a hell of a lot more sense than what we've done in years past. I agree with Vacant24, I think we're trying to bring in solid players to fill need positions. The guy is a BLOCKING tight end...most teams seem to think having at least one of those is a good idea.

Your right bro we shoulda never signed Derrick Burgess if thats ur reasoning that is. Its called looking at talent, if this guys good and just not used enough in the bears offense then why not try him hes gotta be better than every other TE we got besides courtney

Exactly my point, just because you have never heard of him doesn't mean he has no value to this team.

All this f'n bitchin' is starting to piss me off, I just called all you "whinner raider fans out" in the General Forum.
