Raiders to move up in draft?

Saints get starting QB and still have No. 2 pick
By Mel Kiper Jr.

Quote:
What happens in Oakland, which right now has quarterbacks Marques Tuiasosopo, Andrew Walter and Reggie Robertson on the roster? They had interest in Culpepper but didn't want to give up a second-round pick.

The Raiders still could get a quarterback without moving up. The question is: Do they want to get Leinart? I think Leinart is the best quarterback in this draft. To me he most resembles, coincidentally enough, former Raiders QB Ken Stabler. Leinart is the same type of QB: pocket passer, smart and very accurate.

If Oakland wants the best quarterback in the draft, it will have to move up to No. 2 to get him. If the Raiders want the second-best quarterback, they can stay where they are and still probably get the quarterback they want.

I can't stand Leinart...I really hope not.

He's got a weak arm and floats all his passes (like Jeff Garcia)
he's overrated. NO LEINART.

The only QB that I would want in this draft is Cutler. And I don't think we need him, I say get a backup and go with Walter. Its not like we are playing for a Supberbowl this year, lets let the kid go out and learn this year. How will we ever know how good he is if we don't give him the start. Pittsburgh didn't know what they had in Rothlesberger until Maddox got hurt. Same could be true for Walter. We won't know till we try.

I hope Oakland doesn't move up. We already have missed the boat on several FAs that could've filled immediate needs and now you wanna give up picks to draft another QB???

Pass

I would be pumped!
Leinert has all of the intangibles that are important in a QB. (Not saying the Board favorite Walter doesn't)

Come one man don't kid yourself Leinert is way better than Walter at this point! Leinert won 34 games in a row, 2 national champoinships & a Heisman trophy I would love to get Leinert! No knock on Walter but you can't really say that he is better than Leinert at this point.

Yeah...I agree. There is no need to trade more picks and possibly players that we need, just to get Matt Leinhart. If he really was the better QB he would have beaten Texas.

Vince Young is the best QB in the draft, we can get him at pick #7...and he should be our QB.

I also find it funny that you try to compare some pussy ass USC pretty boy, to Kenny Stabler. Remember the last left handed USC QB we drafted(Todd Marinovich)?...yeah, remember who we could have had?...yeah Brett F.ucking Favre.

Lets not make the same mistake twice...pass on USC players(especially QB's)
