I am not opposed to this if true. I really would like to give Walter a shot though.
Off topic some, BUT ...
I for one am glad that Brees is off the market. I think that signing him would have been a big mistake. Just my 2 cents
Cheers

McCown did pretty damn good for all the pressure on him. He had NO oline or running back. when he is forced to throw that many times it makes him look bad but to pull off a 60+% completion rating it is pretty good. He would be awesome here, he also shows Leadership and is tough and quick to get im peeps face after a hit.

Tui's only played 2 games, McCown has played 22 games... you cant compare the two.

in all honestly if we get rid of George and add McCown then im not against it at all, but otherwise its a waste of money I rather keep Tui then sign McCown.

wow...some of the football i.q.'s on this board are really low.

if you don't know what you are talking about its best to keep quiet, saying McCown is garbage or that one td pass in my career tuiasosopo is better than him is f#cking retarded.

oh well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion regardless of how stupid it is

On this we agree. You can't compare the two.
One has arm strength, the other doesn't.
On has led a team to victory, the other hasn't.
One has a QB rating over 53, the other doesn't.
One has thrown one TD for every five INTs, the other hasn't.

No comparison at all.

I wasn't comparing, I was simply commenting on, "Tui would like like Brady next to McCown."

Either way, pocket the cash, pick up some names on defensive, build the oline/protect Walter.

mastershake i think you are wrong, mckeown is better than you say, ok it's not the big news of the day, but he can throw , he can move and has some experience. and also he can play, he is not injure. is rathing is not so bad with an o-line at arizona who suck and without running game. i think he is not bad at all, not a star, but dont forget when the pats let's go big name bledsoe and decide to play brady, no one know who was brady. i know josh is not tom brady but he can really help us, collins cannot move and was sack 39 times, josh can move and just for that he will be a lot better than collins. hope it's true. now we have 2 young qb and some money to bring some fa, i am sur the next 3 or 4 days will be funny.

stupid is you, no one said Tui is better then McCown.. and what has McCown done to prove hes not garbage? hes potential.. but had 4 years to live up to it and hasnt plain and simple, the guys a waste of money if we already got George we might as well spend money on defense instead of McCown.. good competition for Walter yea but the guys had 4 years and his chances and done nothing to prove that he can step on the field with the recieivers around him and do a good job, and the guy has yet to prove he has the endurance and durability to go a full 16 seasons.. lets not overrated an unproven QB when we got two on our roster, one we show no love at all.. but we sure do show other unproven QBs a lot of love

2 starts and Tui is garbage... 22 starts and McCown is potential... how ironic is that.. personally there are better "potential" and better "Backups" out there to throw even a veteran minimum cost at McCown.

like I said before ill take McCown over George for sure.. but if we had George then its too early to add a 4th QB when we can throw money at defense

that was Brady's first chance, McCown has had 22 and hasnt done anything to say this is a great signing, the potential is there but I dont see how we can be sooooo sure about this, McCown hasnt proven anyting but that he is potential! potential that is hard to get out of him but like if we dont have George ill take McCown over George any day.

I actually hope that Walter is given the chance to see if he is our long-term answer at QB. If Walter is the starter in '06, with McCown as the back-up, I'm o.k. with that. Who would be the better back-up to Walter, McCown or Brooks? BTW, I'm hoping we take a serious look at Tank Williams also for our vacant SS position. Cooper is a nice ST's player, and o.k. in spot-duty at SS, but in no way should he be starting there.
