I read this in espn insider and I hope its not true but, it could happen who knows right now.

If the Raiders are unable to trade for QB Daunte Culpepper, there's a good chance they'll turn to Collins, the Contra Costa Times reports. Oakland released Collins last week, freeing up much-needed salary-cap space. Not in the hunt for Drew Brees or Jon Kitna, considered the top QBs on the free-agent market, the Raiders' best option might be to sign Collins at a cap-friendly price.

I hope it doesn't happen, but it would help make sense of the actions we took. We cut Collins, until we found out we had more time to work out a deal, so we "un-cut" him. Then we needed the cap space so we cut him agian.
Somebody still wants him on the team. We just can't afford him. If he was willing to lower his asking price I bet we'd sign him in a heart beat.

I just hope someone else is willing to pay his asking price.

You know what's drastic?

Cutting Collins but it not going through for whatever reason.. CBA problems?

Officially cutting Collins.

Then, possibly re-signing Collins.

Collins starting for us again.

I think that's much more drastic.

<Mar. 14> If the Raiders are unable to trade for QB Daunte Culpepper, there's a good chance they'll turn to Collins, the Contra Costa Times reports.
