Brooks is a train wreck. He had one good year @ New Orleans and was one of the worst QB's last year. Go with Walters and see what happens. Brooks is not going to get any better and we know what he is....terrible.

How about, no Brees, no Culpepper, no Brooks, no vince Young, and no more SCREAMING?
Time for a dose of reality, Raiderfans. We were never in the running for Brees/Culpepper. AND, we tried signing one huge FA last year to fix everything now, and it did not work out too well for us. (some would say 2 big names.) Success is not a player or 2 away, people. We need a good QB, true enough, but come on. Be realistic when you approach these guys. Neither would have magically transformed us into an instant contender. As far as I am concerned, our success will hinge on what art is able to get out of the O line, and what we draft on defense. How about panic over out CB situation? Anyone? Are we all comfy with fabian and Asomugha as out starting CB's? How about a safety?
My point is that FA is not over just because these two are off the market. A journey of a million miles begins with a single step. Sit down, stop shouting and being so nervous, and gripe when whatever happens happens, if you have just GOT to. I think there are a few 100 FA's this year. Were they all cut because they suck ass? I would guess no. Al, Mike, and Art are just patiently sifting through them all. And they are doing it for us.

no matter how great Walters is, we cant' go into camp with just Walters and Tui... that's crazy... we gonna get another vetern QB to compete for the job.

It turned out VERY well, but he was kind of injury prone and dissappointing in Philly, so I did not count him. I did not consider Burgess a "Big" name. He ain't no Randy Moss...
