Im hearing that a deal between the raiders and the vikings is close to being finalized, it just that the raiders are hesitent to give up Doug Gabriel who they believe is a very underated player. The raiders offered Ronald Curry but the vikes rejected it. here how the deal breaks down
if finalized.
TO OAKLAND: Daunte + 6th rounder

TO MINNY : Doug gabriel + 3rd rounder

Take that deal is a second. We'd get a third rounds along with Daunte for Gabriel and a 6th. Where do we sign?

I'm no fan of Culpepper, but if Curry is healthy that's a heck of a reasonable deal for the Raiders. Since the Raiders are reluctant to part with DG, maybe they can talk Minny down to him and a fourth.

The Vikes don't have enough prospects at WR or what? If that's the deal then I hope the Oakland doctors put Culpepper through an extreme physical.

wow i thought for sure we would be giving up a second for daunte, only having to trade gabriel and a 3rd is a steal

I know but next to randy we need a posetion WR gabriel is more of a burner.

There was a report I read (ill have to look for it ;) ) that Pepper is ready to go and will be ready for camp.

Hmmm, intresting

Gabriel has a bright future and if he's not with us, I wish him the best of luck where ever he lands up.

The way that Gabriel was playing throughout the whole season, I'd love to keep him.

What about trading someone like Whitted?

That is a fantastic deal. I hate to lose gabriel, but to gain Culpepper in exchange is well worth it. We have other WRs waiting in the wings, Morant and hopefully a recovered Curry. Plus their are some decent #3 WRs available in FA.
