The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins aren't pursuing Daunte Culpepper in a trade because they expect him to be released.
That would be a stunner, if only because we'd think the Vikings could get something from a team like the Cardinals or Raiders. The Dolphins are expected to make a major push for Drew Brees in the meantime and reportedly also have some interest in Steve McNair and Patrick Ramsey.

wow...that would be huge. Moss telling Daunte about us..they want to be together so he wont restructure for the Vikes. No team willing to trade and his no desire to restructure = his release. If released I think we would be his #1 choice because of him and Moss and are love to throw deep.

...watch out AFC West...I see the Raiders having another big offseason.

If not Daunte I am looking out for Brees....Gannon wants him bad here in Oakland next year.

Culpepper is not a good idea. He is not a good QB. He makes poor decisions when the deep ball is not there. He never won anything in Minn. Look how much better Old Phart Brad Johnson played with them last year.

I would prefer Brees but would take Mcown until Walters is ready.

YES! finnaly somebody remebers that we still have a QB, well not a proven 1 but hey hes got potential. going after bress isnt really a bad move but we still invested money in walters and,going after broke pepper is crazy our O last yes wasnt that bad we just need line help, so going after someone like Mcown can due until walters is ready. IMHO I really think the QB position is something we can definitely not worry about - just because of those factors

I'l be extremely pissed if we end up with Mcnair or Ramsey. Mcnair is all banged up and is at the end of his career and Ramsey just flat out blows. I can see some potential in Mckown because he's young, but I'd rather he competes with Walter for the starting job.

But please please please... no Mcnair.. I dont him backing Walter up and showing him the ropes... but if he gets a starting job I'm a jump out my window right here.
