Ravens after Collins?
Reports continue to claim that the Ravens will go hard after Kerry Collins if he's released by the Raiders.
We don't think Collins' release is necessarily a slam dunk. He'd take a paycut to stay in Oakland. But if Collins is let go, look for his former coach Jim Fassel to make a strong push for Collins to challenge Kyle Boller for the Baltimore job. http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_3477257 |

Considering this is the Denver Post I will consider the source.

Collins has a huge roster bonus coming up. Everybody knows we'll either restructure him or cut him before thats due. By leaking their interest in him to the media the Ravens are pretty much giving Collins a good reason not to restructure with us because now he knows he has a landing spot once he is cut.

I don't want him, restructured contract or not. Offer him and see what else it would take to get Ray. If the price is right, do it (obviously). If not, we can just cut him, it wouldn't be the end of the world.

if we are going to use him as trade bait, we will restructure his contract to league minimum and obviously not let kerry think we are gonna trade him. Then we use him as trade bait. Othewrwise- he will definitely be released. |

to trade him and get something in return to our advantage would be great but im pretty sure we will just release him and not get anything
