Why did we Waste them.

The Raiders in review, this was the most dis-heartening season I have ever watched. For me and most fans the season was going to be one to rub in the rest of the NFL faces, taking a chance on a troubled player and picking up some unprovens. After week 2 it became apparent that we were not going to utilize the wealth of talent that we have. Very few touches of the ball for a unproven great running back, and too many throws to our newly acquired second threat at WR. Then as the season progressed even less balance emerged, and Collins accuracy went to hell. When Collins left Moss out to dry over the Middle I knew that we were in for a lost season. But Porter true to form did as much as he possibly could do, and When Lamont finally started getting the ball good things happened. But the combination of plays called, and COllins struggle fizzled the explosive Offense. The bright spot for me was to see that given the situation they were put in, a group of rookies on Defense actually provided a little pride for this Raider fan. But back to offense, that was a total melt down of both coaches and QB, I am truly ashamed that I rooted for the Turner and the Collins acquisitions. They were just simply terrible. But here is a scenario Mike Tice, and Daunte Culpepper that would be a good thing for this broken Raider Fan. Please help us oh Football God

Two words:

Norv Turner.

Three words why next season will be much improved:

No Norv Turner

MIKE FREAKING TICE???????
God man, do you really want to live through more miserable years as a fan??? "cause that's what Tice will bring. That guy never should have been a HC in the NFL much less a retread!!

No tice and no Culpepper...both are bad choices for this team.

It is already documented that Culpepper and moss don't get along...we need Moss happy and productive and Tice couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag

Lightbulb Tice

Tice has a respectable winning record, and Pep said that he and moss were back on good terms. I am not saying i necessarily want them, but where did Moss do his thing? and who was his coach, and QB ? That is all i am saying, sure pep was injured, but no one knows the extent of it. Tice again a very respectable record and a good balance of run and throw, when he had healthy RB's who by the way are not stars and had 1000 yard seasons.

Or24 I would give up a receiver such as Curry or Francis, but the reason for Curry is he is fragile. Morrant is going to be an impact player at some point.

Really - you find 32-33 record as respectable?!?!?!?

Moss did he best and consistent work under HC Green. In his first 4 years, Moss had 3 different QBs throwing to him Cunningham, George and Culpepper. Although, his single best year was Tice/Culpepper, but his single worst year was with Tice/Culpepper also.

Norv Turner could'nt coach his way out of a wet paper bag, as an OC he is fine, but as a head coach he is terrible. 1-11 in the AFC West and 9-23 overall over 2 years =

C'mon.... There is a reason that they call Tice the 'Meathead' Then we bring in a one-legged QB who probably won't be ready to even suitup next year???? How about Bud Grant and Fran???

i still cant believe we couldnt score with our offense givin the new rules either.
but tice already inked with the jags (dont like him anyway).
russ grimm would be a nice fit for us too i think.
i mean the whiz is gonna be allowed to pick at least 2 or 3 of his assistants himself, right?
