"The Raiders have the No. 6 pick and the Ravens No. 13 in April's draft"

Ah what? We have the Ravens 13th? That would be most welcoming and surprising news of the new year to me!

"Raiders owner Al Davis has an affinity for reclamation projects."

Culpepper a reclamation project? Sure he had a bad year last year, sure he has an injury. But he's still only one year removed from NFL MVP runner-up. I think reclamation project is a bit heavy of a word.

I hope not. We don't know what kind of shape this guy is gonna be in and I'm really hoping that the organization isn't willing to take the chance.

Hmmm... if that's true, I hope we keep both! Draft friggin' DEFENSE.
That's the first I've heard of this, so who knows if it's true.

Anyone have any insight?

I'm not willing to take a chance with trading the #6 pick for a guy that may not even play most of the year. I'm still going with my gut feeling of giving Walter a shot.

Great Post.
Interesting and possibly a good idea. But for a 1st round pick, No Way!!!
Maybe, at the highest, a 3rd round pick. culpepper wont be ready for football until around july, and I believe this is the earliest. Good trade, and pickup, but no where near the value of a 1st or 2nd round pick!!!!

It never said we have the Ravens 13th pick but the Ravens have the 13th pick.

You know, thats crazy. Do you know the kind of chemistry Culpepper and Moss have? I know they aren't the bestest of best friends but honestly, Culpepper knows that when he gets in trouble, or sees Moss throw his hands up, YOU THROW THE BALL TO MOSS. This is something Collins couldn't grasp and I could see Culpepper loving the Oakland offense and a relationship between Moss and Culpepper being restructured as well. This could work, and if not throw Walter in there.

Oh but not for our first round pick though.

don't trade our picks AL and we would not like to see a QB inhere and have him boating around in the bay....

we do not have the ravens 1st round pick even though the article makes it seem that way. it was just badly written

He'd probably do better than Kerry would. He has better pocket presence and is at least a little more mobile than Collins ever was. Collins buckles under pressure and in my opinion Walter has more promise of being a winner in the future. Plus, saying he'd get mutilated is pure speculation and nobody knows what would happen until we see it on the field.

Nevermind. I re-read again and it isn't as bad, still a tad poor but not as bad as I thought...
