Jamal Lewis

Is supposed to become a free agent next year, i would love to have him and lamont in our backfield....Can you say power running....They can bruise the D line to give our struggling O-line a better chance... and more muscle to keep blitzers from coming in as easy as last year..

Can't see us spending money on another RB. Probably would cause a RB controversy.

i am not too sure jamal lewis would want to eve split time in the backfield. he will probably want to come somewhere where he can prove himself from this season's poor preformance

sweet, but the money could be well spent elsewhere, i wouldnt mind drafting a RB late...maybe 4th or 5th rounds

hes one of the best backs in the league, he is a POWER RB with good quickness and speed for his size, but for his style he requires atleast "GOOD" run blocking, and he didnt even get poor run blocking this year! he got worst then that!

Jamal Lewis doesnt deserve to play in Oakland behind an O-line that hasnt proved that they can run block well, he'll just have another poor season.. look for him to end up with the patriots if they are unable to draft a RB, Dillon is on his way to retirement.

Jamal would want to be the featured back...something that I doubt #34 will give up.

We do need a change of pace type of back... someone who is fast.. and has some moves. LJ is a hammer... but isn't a deep type of threat.

Jamal Lewis wouldn't fit that IMO... we need another back but of a different type.

Lewis runs like he has a purse over his shoulder. His days as a power RB are OVER.

Yeah his line was pretty bad last year, but he said he wasn't even running that hard. He knew he was a FA next year and still took it easy. I understand that the career span of an NFL running back is short, but come on Jamal you have to hit the hole. With him knowing it's a FA year, and him still taking it easy, I would lay off him. But he could come back next year with something to prove, but like everyone is saying would he come in and be a #2 RB with a paycut.

I'd rather have Chester Taylor or Tony Fisher be our #2. Both are free agents.

One way or another we need a reliable backup.

Agreed. Some are more caught up in a guys name and past performance than what he's capable of presently.

I don't want to add slackers, i prefer we get rid of them.

Agree, a RB with receiving ability, home-run speed, and vision.
