Eric Mangini

i think the raiders should really take a long look at this guy. this is the same guy that the raiders originally wanted to be their def. coordinater before settling for rob ryan. sure hes only been a def. coordinator for one year but look what hes done with that defense. no ted johnson, no rodney harrison, no decent cornerbacks, richard seymour out most of the year, tedy bruschi recovering from a stroke. with the amount of injuries in that secondary and overall defense, im amazed at the job he has done in his first year on the job. hes a belicheck clone. this guy would be great for the raiders. although the jets seem to have him locked in as their #1 choice, the raiders should look into him. trust me. he will be a great coach.

I think I read were belicheck is trying to discourage Mangini into going to the Jets because of their salary cap and because then the Jets would have to face the Patriots twice a year. Whoever gets Mangini will probably get Ryan too, I think his contract is up and he will go with his good friend Mangini.

Manigini may be a good coach someday, but right now he is not ready to be a head coach yet. I would much rather have Saunders or Hill.

As for Ryan, if Mangini gets the Jets job and wants him, he can have him.

Mangini is great..

he's what 35 years old? Thats amazingly young..

I'm not sure he'll succeed in his first head coaching job though.. but agree with you he reminds me of a Bill Belichek / Parcels type..

Per Ryan, I agree I would much rather see Keith Millard as D coach.
