Heard around Fresno
Pat Hill who is a candidate for several NFL HC jobs is said to want to bring Lane Kiffin along as his OC. Lane is currently OC at USC and worked under Hill at Fresno. Pat is also said to favor taking the Oakland HC if offered.

I like this post a heck alot more than others I've read. I hope the Oakland Raiders make this move. It just seems a hell of alot more logicistical.
Thanx for the post, the speculation over the Raiders next head coach is interesting, fun to follow.

Your absolutely right, I thought about that after I posted this. Maybe it's futher proof, we might end up with Saunders!!!

me too!!! I wish Al would make his decision so the Nation can see who the next coach is. I want to hurry up and read, and research the guy, listen to him talk and draw my own conclusion about him.

Funnily enough, I think Al Davis already has made up his mind.
I think WDR is most probably right. Al Davis has wanted Al Saunders in the past and will likely get him now.

Davis clearly said that we did not score enough points. i.e.we need a new offensive mind.

Saunders has run the best offense statistically over the last 5 years. Davis will be drooling over the thought of having that production. I think the only sticking points are
(1) Will Davis give Saunders the control over his assistants that he wants.
(2) Will Davis pay Saunders what he wants.

We'll soon find out.

I'm starting to dig Hill but Saunders has a pretty successful background even if he failed with the Bolts.
