yeah. from what i understand about walter.....he is more NFL ready, and has the NFL type arm and pocket pressence for success. i dont know if leinart will succeed as a NFL QB.

I was talking about the Brees article--if you scroll down to the bottom--it says the Raiders could make an offer.

Yeah I'm a USC freakazoid! But Leinart isn't a slam-dunk, Walter has just as much possibility of being great as Matt. He had a great college career as well. Both are completely unproven at this time with as much potential and actually Walter's has a bit more top-end potential because his arm is massively stronger then Matt's.

I'm not saying either will or won't, but we already have a future-type-groomable QB in Walter. If we don't start him next year(I don't think we should), we need to get a reliable journeyman, similar to gannon. But we don't want our top 2 QB's to have no NFL starting experience.

we are in line for a veteran QB. but i think we should start Walter....i think he can hand the ball off just as good as anyone else. and he should get some confidence is we start him from the begginging. GIVE him the ropes from the start of training camp.

With Sherman out of Green Bay. I wouldn't be surprised if Al tries to somehow (either trade or free agency if hes let go) acquire Brent (as Ron Mexico calls him) Favre. Until Al rebuilds not reloads. I won't believe it. Al could sign Favre for 2 years until Walter is really ready........

Brees doesn't have a strong arm to begin with. Now with that injury. Who knows how he'll recover from it......

If we do start him, we will still NEED a serviceable backup. I hope that Walter will be the QB of the future, right away. But we need to COA's. We don't want another year wishing we had a different QB.

Then by that time Walter would be washed up because he'd be to old to put into a game and screw up because he'd really be a rookie in exp, but his years of service would say "4 years".
