after the Giants game and Mooch to be named as HC in the comming weeks.

My friend called and told me about this. He said he has reliable source. He has some connections with the 49ers since his uncle works in the 49ers organization. I don't know if its true or not BUT I hope he's wrong cause he need a disciliparian not a player's coach.

Has anybody heard of this before?

Tell your friend that my brother's best friend's sister works for the Raiders and that this info is not verifiable as of yet. Btw, it doesn't take in-depth information to know that Norverta will be axed after the season.

No aint never heard this. Mooch wouldn't go to the raiders. The Niners fired em cuz of the high demands of that franchise now hes gonna work under Al Davis with demands just as high if not higher? Nah hes wrong or hes tellin u a ducktale.

I asked my friend the same question and I said Al Davis NEVER show his card and that he's most secretative person in the NFL.

According to my friend there are few people in the 49ers organizations that are very close to Mooch and that his uncle works those people on a regular basis.

Like I said, hope he's wrong cause we need a young and hungry coach who is no non-sense type of coach.

I actually mentioned a few weeks ago that Mariuchi would be who I'd want the Raiders to get. He's a good coach who got a raw deal in Detroit because their GM is a dufus. He's not a disciplinarian and is what people would call a "players coach" but I would take what he has to offer over Norv Turner any day. At this point though I honestly don't care who replaces Norv just a long as he's gone from this organization. Sadly it took the hiring of Norv Turner to discover the mistake that was made.

IMO, the way Al would approach this is:
- He would have a review at the end-of-season Norvel Turner

Turner will be allowed to say his piece, but Al will fire him or Turner would
resign depending upon what is agreed between the two.

- Regarding the open HC vacancy, Al will have candidates lined up and do the
interviews.

Yes Mooch, will be given a chance to interview. Now whether he is selected
or not will depend on the competition that he has for the position.

Mooch was fired at Detroit because of the stupidity of Matt Millen, who has to be the worst GM in the whole of NFL.

Damn. I feel the same way. Norverta is the worst HC in Raider history and a complete disgrace. He's made the Raiders into travashamockery and at this point anybody looks better than him...

Norv will NOT be back as the HC. I believe the Raiders have the option on the 3rd year and I think Al will just void the option on his 3rd year.
I bet the Raiders will just make a statement that Raider have declined the option on Head Coach Norv Turner and thus parting way.
