Schaub Talk

WOW...After hering his name on a few other posts I started thinking of how perfect he is for the Raiders.

He has great size at 6'5 235lbs, he was ACC player of the year in 2002, other than Alge Crumpler the Falcons dont have a very good passing offense and proved to do pretty good there, he was a Heisman candidate, hes been in the league now for 2 years or so, he has already been throught the learning process of being an QB in the NFL, and hes got an arm.

I think this guy could step in tomorrow and do better than what we have, give him a healthy Moss, Porter, and Curry I think we would be a lot better than we are right now.

This is probably just wishful thinking but I honestly think he would work wonders for our team.

Didnt Atlanta just resign the guy? With so few quality backup qbs in the league they are not trading him

- Schaub (Atlanta)
- Gerrard (Jax)
- Culpepper (Minn, if he gets shopped around)

Matt Schaub is a good QB to have on your team: Why?

The Positives
1) He is 24 years old basically the same age as Andrew Walter.
2) He's about 6'5" with an adequate arm and some scrambling ability.
3) He is very accurate with his passing.
4) He wants to leave the FALCONS and be a starter next season.
5) The Jets, Ravens, and other teams around the NFL are going to place in their bids for his services.

The Negatives
1) Untested over the long haul because he has not played in many games.
2) Questionable footwork at times.

* You can throw out his career QB rating out the window because MIKE VICK runs the show in Atlanta.

Not sure of Schaub's status contractually; but I do thinkl we have some key players here that could benefit the falcons. It still pisses me off that they have Coleman from us; He should still be here with us.

If he does, I'll be doing backflips. The Culpepper to Moss all day long connection will be back.

Me too. I wanted us to draft him a couple years ago, I thought he'd be a nice pro in spite of the criticism he got about his arm strength and mobilty in the pocket.

I agree even though I think Walter has what it takes I am a little afraid of him being injury prone so I think we should bring in a suitable backup or starter.

We dont know what we have in Walter at the Moment, but lets say walter isnt ready by next year, Schaub would be awesome. I liked Schaub since the Falcons picked him and wished the Raiders would have picked him. How about trading collins and a pick for him?
