I wanted the Raiders to pick him up as well. I think that he will be productive in the NFL.

The draft has less rounds than it used to so teams can draft expected stars then are left to negotiate for the potentials and work-in-progresses or ones where scouts were just plain wrong.

Remember TD was a 7th round pick. Most of the career leaders in rushing and receiving were 1st or 2nd round picks. But...

Gates was undrafted. Kurt Warner undrafted. Jake Delhomme. Rod Smith. Don Perkins. Jeff Garcia. Brad Johnson, Jay Fiedler, Joe Andruzzi, David Akers.

I could keep going, but I gotta head out.

Bottom line: Some a good, some are mediocre, most are not NFL worth. Scouts and coaches make mistakes on selections.
