No one wants Simmons

Simmons has been on the market for a while now and the bears just gave him the boot so im sure the more teams that stop pursuing you the more your value drops and with his injuries and stats that arent much better then foremans how much could this guy really cost? sure hes been injured but if he is in good condition why not give him a shot at the right price, if you take a look at his stats, in 7 games he had an int, 2 years b4 that he had 2 ints and a sack in 7 games, in 13 games he had 3 ints and 3 sacks, this guys just had some bad luck and I dont see how you can pass on him even if he gets injured again he seems to contribute alot before he goes down, imagine if we signed him and he played a full 16 games? he'd have over 100 tackles 2+ ints and about 4 sacks, hes good and he would be a steal right now in his condition.

yea thats true but our draft picks will come cheap. I really only seeing us signing morrison, walters, washington, routt, hawthorne, maybee riddle. Mcmahon maybe practice squad. Basically theyll be replacing instead of adding to the cap so shouldnt be a problem if its minimum signings. Walters wont make as much as gannon makes at vet minimum, morrison would have a similar signing, washington would be the highest paid but it will probably something like buchanons deal was, routt would have a cheap deal, hawthorne the cheapest. I think if we wanted simmons we would cut Travian Smith. Then denard walker, terdell sands just to make room. I think it could work out.

I dunno how cap casualities go but this is what I think
Cut Whitted, D. Walker, Travian Smith, Terdell Sands, slaughter if hes still on the team, treu since grove is starting. Thats about 6 players, sign 5 draft picks if we got the cash get simmons. If not cut hetherington too.

yeah I agree, rookies first but we got people on the cap that have done jack **** for us so why not replace them. **** if simmons would cost the same as travian smith who wouldnt kick smith out the door for him? if we cut certain players that havent contributed we'd be down to a 50 man roster those certain players would be Travian smith, Denard Walker, Grant Irons, Terdell Sands, Adam Treu, Alvis Whitted, and Chris Hetherington.

i dont like smith too much, but we need him cuz he is a lb, and sands should stay because he is the backup nt. i would rather cut dewlarence grant, d. walker and whitted to creates space.

yea but K smith is a NT too and hes better then sands, im not suggesting these players get cut cuz they suck I just think some will get pushed out the door cuz better talent is on the team

Well, another LB that has been on the market awhile has been former Indy LB Rob Morris.Not to mention who will become a June 1st casuality.Hell, the Cards don't appear to be waiting on June, they just cut OL LJ Shelton & took a $3.3M cap hit for this season.So, who knows what LB prospects could appear.

thats true, im hoping blackstock doesnt make the team. I think were only void of an OLB now, Rob Morris is a good LB dunno if he can play the outside though, I hope the colts sign boulware so june or thornton would be a cut prospect and we could pick one of them up. But if we got one more OLB we should be fine at LB in the 3-4 and especially in the 4-3. My two concers are the fact that we only have on FS thats a problem. Schweigert starting or not we need one more FS on the team and we only have two RBs as well since crockett was moved back to FB we could use another RB as well, maybe zereqoue as a resign.

signed draft picks first and then see what we got,ill rather gildon over simmons just by the fact that hes more durable,knows the 3-4 scheme and he can play end too,plus hes cheaper.

This guy Simmons is a walking Injury Report. Gildon is old, overrated and tried. Get a young guy.
