Teyo Johnson will be the starting TE !!! - Oakland Raiders Forum | Message Board

I just feel that Teyo Johnson is going to beat out Courtney Anderson for the
starting TE spot !! Teyo got better hands and he seems to got better in
pass blocking. If Courtney keep on dropping catchable balls in practice like
he did in minicamp than Teyo Johnson will be the Starter. Courtney Anderson
do block better so this is going to be a great battle for the starting TE spot !!

yep I also think Teyo will be the starting TE... I liked Teyo even when some fans wanted him gone

i dunno if teyo performs really wel in camp abd is declared the number 1 guy, i still think they will be splitting time, but i have a feeling anderson is going to give him a good challenge and might take the spot

i think the competetion will be good for the team but I want Anderson to be the starter after all is said and done.

I would like Teyo I don't think there is a real big drop off between the 2 though we'll see who gets more 1st offense plays in preseason

Whichever proves to be the better blocker Teyo Johnson or C anderson will be starting TE. Teyo Johnson will play alot and look for him to move out to WR occassionally from Te position. (put more pressure on defense)

teyo has more big play hability and better hands plus he has good speed.anderson has a big frame and hes a better blocker with average speed and decent hands,so imo according to the situation both can be used in the system.

I like Teyo and i think that he could be a great starter and the great thing is if he gets hurt we have a good back up

I completely disagree with Teyo winning the starting job. Although I like him, he's better suited (at least at this point) to be used as a situational TE or WR on certain downs. Anderson is already a better blocker than Teyo, and has the potential to be an absolute monster of a receiver.

Huh??? move Teyo out to play WR?? With Moss, Porter, Curry, Morant, and Gabriel all wayyyyy faster than Teyo???

Only way I see that is if he comes in motion from a double TE set... other than that??? No need, we have too much depth at WR...

In order to do that, you need to have a TE who is very adept at blocking. Teyo may or may not have gotten better in that department, but Anderson is basically already there. If I was a betting man, I believe you'll see Anderson as the starting TE September 8th against NE.
