Big Play Ray has a contract offer?

Buchanan, who played for Al Davis’ Oakland Raiders in 2004, is currently a free agent and is waiting for the completion of the draft to evaluate all of his options. Oakland already has a contract offer on the table and according to Buchanan, he’s likely to remain a Raider.

If he's coming back, I guess he's buying a new house. Because the one he owns in Pleasanton, has been up for sale the past few weeks. A co-worker of mine lives right accross the street from Buchanan. It's a rich-ass area of the East Bay (where Buchanan lived).

I was wondering the same thing. I imagine since our secondary was so up-for-grabs it came to be this way. Coupled with the fact that Cwood most likely will not be playing here after this season. Besides Wood, no one is a clear cut starter.

Yeah ATX, that does make some sense, and cat4 made a good point too. Maybe we are trying to just fix our DB situation first. I could see things working out kinda like this, next year, Cwood gone (not that I want him gone), hopefully we get good starters from all the DB's we have to choose from now, 10.5 mil in cap room opened up just right there. Evaluate how our defense plays this year, solve the linebacker problem next year, hope we have some surprises there this year. Possibly add a backer before the season starts, go after known LB studs in free agency next year. Next years draft, draft...Ahhh, who am I kidding, next years draft, draft a couple of more cornerbacks. I wish I knew where to look to see who will be available free agents next year, I have a feeling we will get our stud linebacker or 2 then. Hopefully we have some guys that come of age this season which will make free agency a little easier on us.

exactly. Look at the Bucs - that have like 7 QB's on their roster.
