maybe eddie george as a backup?
I dont mind Konrad retiring though, just more money for us cuz he has to give all the cash we gave him back. We pretty much can replace him with a LB or FS and Crockett has the size and speed to be a great FB and a blocker and If Crockett is weak on blockin he'll step it up like he always does and become a good blocker, cant find a much better player then crockett he gives his all every play.

We don't need anymore runningbacks. I think Lamont Jordan will definitely do the job. As long as we have a good defense (which remains to be seen) and a more accurate Collins (which also remains to be seen)... we'll have a great year. I hope this is the year Ryan shows whatever he skillz he showed in New England.

seriously i agree we do not need to sign any more runningbacks if u go to nfl .com and see are roster u can see we have a lot of rb just upgrade one from the practice squad if it is necessary just dont go and sign any more offensive players from now on the raiders only need to sign defensive players

yeah, I like Redmond as well.
He's got some pretty good speed too. Hopefully this will open up a spot for him. He's already been through one of Norv's training camps, so his ramp up would be minimal. How good is Jordan catching passes downfield? Nexx

Crockett is a stud and with Jordan as the go to guy I think we will be just fine w/o Konrad...I also like Redmond a lot....not for everydown but he is a good guy to have around....

I would sign Redmond. He is a good ST guy and a versitile player, kind of like Randy Jordan used to be.

Crockett is the man, but not a blocking back, he is a running FB. I wouldnt mind Redmond but if he is gonna play FB this year full time i would like him to add about 15 lbs to help more on the blocking. Having a blocking FB will be important to our running game so i think it is definatley something we should address.

To me that Konrad thing was a bad deal. Al had everything in place, and i was looking forward to seeing zac poung the rock on short yardage downs. But the fact is that as someone stated, we have plenty others to throw in the mix, the only thing that i did not like this whole off-season is that when Chad Brow came available, the Raiders organization did not go get him. I guess that they must have something planned, and i hope that it is to move Gibson up to LB position.

DARREN SPROLES:
In response, I think the biggest mistake in the Raiders draft was giving up their 4th round pick to move up three spots for F. Washington. The Chargers grabbed their change-of-pace burner in Sproles at the end of the 4th and the Raiders could have grabbed him first if they still had their pick. I know the Raiders feel they have plenty of speed in their return men, but Sproles could have been our secret weapon after Jordan and Fargas. I know the Senior Bowl coaches were real high on this kid. He is so small and fast that he will be hard to catch --and now the Raiders will see him twice a year. Tomlinson/Sproles is going to be a tough combo to crack. Oh well, we will play OUR game. Now we need to find out what that is. |
