I don't agree. I give us a C. San Fran. had the best draft.

the 49er's should have a good draft. they had early picks in every round. I give the raiders a C+. Washington was a great pick but I think they wasted the round 5 pick to trade up. There was no need to trade up, Washington would have been there at 26. I don't know what the hell the 2nd round pick of Rout was all about. We could have had Dan Cody or any of the linebackers (except johnson and davis). Round 3 was okay with the QB and Morrison, although I really liked Mcpherson and Blackstock, and we could have had them both in the 3rd. The second day picks were okay. If we wouldn't have wasted that 4th round pick in trading up we could have picked RB Darren Sproles of K-State. This guy is a stud and is going to be one hell of a football player for the Chargers.

We traded a fourth.

The st pete times loves us, and the bradenton herald rips us. two newspapers less the 20 min apart, but couldnt be more different. I expected the first round pick, and the later picks dont bother me, but the second i dont understand. let me rephrase that, I Hate. I've never seen this kid play, i know he is fast, and i read he cant tackle. I dont hate that we drafted him, i just hate it because the some of the players that were still left on the board could have been i steal. I think this guy could have easily slipped to the 4th maybe even 5th had the raiders not drafted him. Denver most likely would have picked him up, they did a great job of drafting non hitting corners in the draft as well

KCR21-You are so right about Blackstock and McPherson. These guys would have been better picks than Morrison and Walter. Both Walter and Morrison have injury issues. Walter has not thrown a ball since Dec, so no one knows if his shoulder is alright.

The CB out of Houston sounds like the second coming of James Trapp. Why take this kid when the Clemson CB is still on the board.

I think this is a wasted draft. But I really hope these picks turn out to be superstars and I am proven wrong.

Like you guys, I will never understand us taking Routt. And damn was I pissed! But I think we got a solid player in Morrison and ridiculous value with Hawthorne. Its early, but these guys look like starters in a year or two. McMahon could become a beast, but if not we didnt lose anything for him.

In all, I give us a B-. We could have done MUCH better if we got a pass rushing DE or LB in the second. I dont give us a C becuase Moss was our first round draft choice. But remember, if Woodson leaves before the season starts this all makes much more sense..

PS sorry for mentioning woodson in this thread- i dont mean to change the subject

I Am A Little Bit Furious, Washington Was A Good Pick In First, I Have No Problem With This Pick , But Why To Give Our 4th Round Pick For Pick 23 , At 26 Washington Will Be Still There, The Only Team After The Jaguars Who Pick A Wr At 21 Who Needs Corner Was Raiders And Colts , And The Colts Pick After Us At 29, So Why To Trade With The Seahawks And Loose Our 4th Round Pick.?.
But I Am Furious Because We Pick Routt Another Cb In Second Round, Every Expert Put Routt To Be Pick In Fourth Or Fifth Round, Why To Take Routt As Soon As The Second Round. When I Think Kevin Burnett, Dan Cody, Darryld Blastock A Pass Rusher Was There In Second Round , I Am Very Furious. We Still Don't Have A Pass Rusher To Help The Cb, Ok Some Of You Will Say Raiders Sign Derrick Burgess , But Burgess Is Always Injure, If He Is Again Injure Who Will Rush The Passer (grant Or Biamila). We Don't Have Any Outside Linebacker Except Travian Smith. I Say Again I Am Furious.
My Pick
1-26 Fabian Washington
2-38-kevin Burnett Olb
3a-andrew Walter Qb
3b-kirk Morisson Inl
4- Stanford Routt (still There At Four)

Hmmm it was ok..

I like some of the moves made by the raiders in the draft. But I wish we coould have unloaded Charles woodson. Overall i give us a C- just because of the pick of the Quarter Back in the third round that further lets us know that Tui's days are numbered.

this is one of my first posts. great site btw. i understand everyone has their opinion on this draft, and quite frankly i am dissapointed with it. i thought by now al would have learned his lesson drafting track stars or more importantly cb's in the first round. I strongly believe however that the lb position is going to be upgraded via a chad brown or other FA with experience. Al knows we need olbs, and trust me he is on it.
as far as the draft itself, maybe the 2 cbs we drafted will learn quickly and adapt to the NFL better than we think. Only time will tell.

it was rumored that San Diego wanted to move up from 28th for Washington....thus we traded up...also rumors of Denver taking Stoutt in the second prompted us to take him at #38....thats what ther members on this site have been talking about today.......I would have liked your picks though.....
