Raiders/Redskins trade is really in the works?

Supposedly, a sports agent was on the radio and said that our Raiders, on behalf of the Redskins, are trying to work out a long term deal with Woodson to facilitate a trade to the Redskins for their first round selection, number 25.

Supposedly, he also said that 4-6 teams are trying to get into the top four (including Washington) and that they all want Braylon Edwards.

Supposedly went on to say that there are a number of teams willing to move out of the first round.

Take it for what it is worth.

This trade would suck. We would only go up one spot and give up a top-3 CB in the NFL. Maybe if we got the #9 overall then it would be okay but I wouldn't do this.

a 10.5 mil salary for guy who's way overrated........there would be more than just the 25th pick......maybe like washington's 2nd rounder next year....who knows........but yes I did say woodson is overrated.......if he's such a "top elite" cornerback and it's obvious we're trying to deal him......why has it taken this long? (IF it does go down) and why wouldn't az or detroit be in the mix when they have a very big need at CB.....and don't give me this "well he's 10.5 million against the cap" crap cause look what kc is gonna shell out for surtain......teams will find a way to fit him under the cap with a long term deal.....and I hope it's not us

So if the Raiders had the 25th and 26th pick, would they have 15 minutes for the 25th selection, then 15 minutes for the 26th selection, or just have to make both within 30 minutes?

I don't think we have to give up the 26th pick for this trade. Maybe I mis-read the original post, but that trade doesn't even make sense.

I would Trade woodson for the 25th pick. That way we would have 25 & 26.

(not to mention a HELL of a lot of cap space.)

I don't think we can resign him long term until after June 15th. The skins would have to make the trade and then they could sign him long term. If we did trade him, I wouldn't mind trading the 1st round pick we get from the skins for a 1st and change in next years draft. We could then go out and sign law.
