Jurecki reported this morning on the radio. He said the Cardinals are still trying to sign him but the Raiders want him to come and be the #2 corner opposite of Woodson.

hmmmmm.

My take on this is. Chucky will sign a long term deal and the money will be used for a LB and No-showtime will be traded with another pick to the Saints for Howard. I am guessing but this is what I want to see happening here.

I don't know much about him, probably not someone we can get though since it looks like the cards are looking to resign him and have the $$$. We don't really need another average CB though. Lets just focus on a LB or two.

I have never heard of this guy either, but CBS has him ranked as the 5th best FA still available:

He's a solid cover corner who had his best season in 2003 when he started 14 times and produced a career-best 67 tackles, two sacks and five interceptions. He's small like Buchanon. Highly doubt he'd be a #2 although he'd be good competition for nnamdi.

I hope you're right, but I don't see how we can afford both CWood and Howard under the cap. Both are franchised and CWood's fugure is about 10.5 while Howards is about 7.5. We can't sign either player to a long term deal until July 15, so we will have to carry both players franchise numbers until then. I don't think we can afford this.

The only way to get Howard is to trade CWood first or make him a part of the deal. Otherwise we must find a way to be about 7.5 mil under the cap to afford Howard's franchise number.
