If this is true the chargers should do it. That would give them 3 #1 picks in this year's draft and they don't really need Rivers now that they franchised Breese.

If I were the whiners I would keep the pick and draft Alex Smith.

Too funny...the 9ers wanted so bad for Leinart to go pro but he was scared off because he knew where hed end up...on a side note back-up Matt Cassel from USC was said to have an impressive day , even with the wind being a big factor.Im not very computer savy otherwise I would post the link.(hes a pitcher and also played back-up TE)

I would love for the Chargers to do that trade. Brees will have a bad year and Rivers preforms well. That is the typical Chargers story.

Unfortunately I think this would be a good move for both teams. The Niners need a good QB and I'm not sold on either one in this years draft at #1. Rivers would be a clear cut #1 over either of those other guys. The Chargers seem to like what they see in Brees. With 3 first rounders they could build quite a team around LT. Good trade for both sides in my opinion. Just ****ty for us down the road possibly.
