NRC. How many of you would make this trade?
There is a very crazy rumor about Edgerrin James going to the fishes for Patrick Surtain AND the fishes 2nd overall pick.

As good as James is, I think the fish would get the short end of the stick.

It would be a great move for the Colts.

They would get Patrick Surtain in the trade and they could draft Derrick Johnson, arguably the best LB to come through the draft since Ray Lewis.

Edge would be a sizeable upgrade to what they already have. He is also proven, which we know Benson,Brown, Williams are not yet. If I was a Fish fan , I would offer to drive Surtain to the airport myself!! lol

If I was the Dolphins GM I wouldnt pull the trigger on that trade. Why dont just draft Cedric Benson, Ronnie Brown or Cadillac Williams and trade Surtain in the NFC or a sorry team that probbly wont make the playoffs.
They could even trade a few spots down in the draft and still grab one these 3 RB plus one other solid player with the extra picks.

The phins would be crazy to do that. You give up an A-List CB and the 2nd over all pick for Edge. He is a great back no doubt, but their are 3 great backs in the draft that they will have their choice of. Plus, they would then have to turn around and give Edge about $6 mil/yr.

Maybe Surtain and thier 3rd round, possibly 2nd round pick, but not #2 overall.
