Ricky Williams to Oakland?
Talks between the Raiders and Dolphins concerning Ricky Williams are really heating up...Alot of people are talking about sending CB Charles Woodson to the Dolphins for RB Ricky Williams...Due to the Dolphins shopping Surtain, they're going to be looking for someone to fill his spot...So Charles Woodson would going to Miami might be more than just trade rumors...As far as Ricky Williams goes, we'd be taking a huge risk on him...But Raiders have always welcomed the renegades and f*ck-ups to their team...I guess Williams and Oakland would be a match made in heaven...If we did pick up Williams he'd be sitting out for almost the first half of the season due to his 4-game suspension for failing a drug test...I don't know though, if we get this guy and he plays to the top of his ability I believe we will have the best offense in the NFL, now that it's looking like the Edge is leaving Indy for Miami...
Give me some of your thoughts...

Bad move IMO. Williams may decide he doesnt wanna come back,and we get nada.

Oh definately...I guess raiders almost landed a blockbuster with the dolphins last year...It was sending teyo johnson, jerry porter, and 2nd rd pick to miami for rights to r.williams, and jason taylor...i'm glad we didnt do it though but i'm sure we'll get something more out of it...

I wouldn't be suprised if this happens. If Ricky stops smoking and starts getting himself back into the game I'll take him. Woodson doesn't want to be here so he can only hurt our team. I really like Woodson and I think he is the best corner but he and the raiders need to part ways. The thing I have about this trade is our defense will be even worse. We need to go back to a 4-3 defense. Put Sapp and Washington in the middle so they can clog up the run. Put Brayton as a DE so he can rush the passer. I think Hamilton should be our other end because he has a great attitude. We should go after Boulware to boost our LB corps. Clark will be good in the middle and Smith will be okay if he stays healthy. To replace Woodson get Rolle,Dyson,Surtain or Smoot. I hate to say it but P-Buch will stay. Doing this our defense will be middle of the pack. It will be good enough with our explosive offense!

I am not getting my hopes up - but Woodson for Ricky would be such a steal it'd be illegal. Ricky would help us get where we want to go - Woodson will hurt.
Check history. This deal straight up is so lop-sided to us it's sinful. I love it.

They're fulla $hizzle. Trying to unload Ricky's bonus for his entire contract on someone when the guy played a good portion of his contract out and made his incentives.
If Al does this he'll go to a lawsuit and probably take them on in two states and have all kinds of Federal ramifications. Trask  would have all kinds of contingency fees from this in the meantime we could write the money up as a loss for tax liability and probably get a deferred payment plan over it.Your team has to honor a bonus regardless, Miami backing out of this shows a good bit of why Marino did not fit there for front office work. They're probably even trying to unload loss incurred from the David Boston signing into this. That being said, bring it on! Nobody loves controversy like the Raiders! Imagine finding a way to bring in LaMont, Ricky, Clarett all in the same season and not getting burnt on the cap plus getting value for Woodson to clear cap space and draft picks. Raider Up!
