Some website (I'm trying to get the link) reported that Al Davis offered to pay the Dolphins the 8.6million dollars that Ricky Williams owes them and give them 2 3rd round picks for him.

Well, if he just stepped in and paid 8.6 million for the rights to Williams, it wouldn't really affect the cap. Then we could sign Ricky to a contract where he gets the league minimum plus performance-based incentives. There would have to be some type of agreement worked out with Ricky that he would actually play, and I don't know how you would make him stick to the contract...he could just sit around smoking weed and what could we do? Sue him for everything he's got? Then we'd have his bong and a few CD's.

I really think Williams was THE best RB in the NFL b4 he left. Now though, if he ever came back, he'd have to get in a shape and re-adjust.. to much hassle.

I hope Al does not go after Ricky Williams.. he is damaged good! His NFL career is over! We should be putting our energy into signing Lamont Jordan and filling holes on our defense.
