Raider talk with JETS....
Trying to get Jordan...?

The Oakland Raiders again have offered a third-round draft pick for disgruntled running back LaMont Jordan, but the Jets are remaining steadfast in their demands for a second-rounder, according to someone with knowledge of the discussions.

It's the second bid the Raiders have made to obtain Jordan in the past six months, and now they are trying to sweeten the deal, perhaps with a late-round pick or a player?

A 3rd sounds reasonable, due to his questionable work ethic. Hmmm sounds interesting. I wonder how this will play out.

WE NEED THIS GUY...

Wheatley is too slow.
Take away Gannon's yardage and our total and average look even more dismal
Fargas may be the answer but has proven he can't stay healthy.
Famous Amos is average at best.

I know our Oline looks bad right now and maybe any back would have had trouble getting yards but the fact remains that Lamont is better than anything we currently have.

I know a lot of you are high on Grove but damn I wish we gave up our second round pick for Dillon.

A 3rd is fair for a guy who fills a need and who would start immediately. Go get him

I like who we have right now in the backfield with the combo of amos and redman. I know norv doesnt like little backs like fargas but I think he can really contribute to the team more than norv thinks. Dont get me wrong, lamont jordan wouldnt be to bad of a pick up, but i dont think they will trade him to us only because curtis matin is in his last years.

I would say a 4th Rounder and Teyo Johnson would be a fair deal. I would even stretch it to a 3rd Rounder but not a 2nd.

Personally I would not like to see Teyo go. Maybe that over rated telephone pole Courtney Anderseon could suffice instead?
