How about NOT allowing him to start or even play in the last pre-season game and NOT being able to start in the regular season opener. In fact, Sir Charles has been reduced to a Nickel Back for the Steelers game! I'm still a Charles Woodson supporter, but at the same time I respect and appreciate the decision to have him coming off the bench.
