If Gannon gets cut he will not want to be a backup, he'll probably go play for Raiders East.

Gannon isn't going anywhere. Every bit of information we've gotten from the Raiders and seen has said otherwise.

Well as we have recently heared from Gannon and Brown. I have no doubt they lie everytime they are asked a question. I am giving Gannon the benefit of the doubt but if I don't get to see one play designed for him to air it out even if it falls incomplete. Then I won't care if it happens or not. No I take that back it has to be complete. I just want to see the variety and not all the underneath passes. There has to be some display of suprise attack. How many times are we gonna go through these failed drives. If a WR gets seperation which they really can't underneath then you will see more TD's. Especially with the enforcment of the 5 yard touch rule. This is something that needs to be exploited. Even if it is only 25 - 30 yards down field. I am sure Gannon must be able to air it out to 50 yards. So is it too much to ask for half of that.

It's just the NY media trying to drum up a QB controversy when there isn't one. Keeping Collins as backup this year is both wise and fiscally sound. Collins doesn't carry a large cap number this year, so he can afford to be back up THIS year and take his time to learn the offense.

The added bonus is depth at the QB spot. If Gannon were to go down, then we have Collins in the wings and even Tui to step up. No other team this year is quite as deep in this position. We should consider ourselves greatful for this opportunity. Because we may NEVER have a roster that contains TWO superbowl QB's at the same time again!

I second your opinion on the matter. We are DEEP, and Collins will be ready to back up in case of injury this year and will be even more ready next year as the starter. Go Raiders!!

Dude cmon. Lie everytime they are asked a question? These guys are the ultimate professionals. Thats insulting.

Sides, Gannon isn't the only one saying he is the starter this season. Norv, Collins, other players have all said the same thing.

The NY media is just plain loony. Anything said three times is a fact.

All you have to do is listen and after something comes to truition they spill the beans. They are suppose to keep there mouths shut about team business. Just read the August 3rd interview between Gannon and Rich Eisen on NFL Network. Or check out what Brown said on the Tony Bruno show compared to what he said before and after the press conference with AD. Can you really blame them for lying, the media takes things out of proportion and would screw the player for saying something. Look at the TO almost going to Baltimore. Then last night what do they do the sideline reporter asks the same question to both TO and Ray Ray and asks about some new found rivalry because TO wanted to go to Philly. So who is doing the lying someone is. I believe something when I SEE it. Now if I just would've said TO was a lier instead of Gannon and Brown your biased oppinion wouldn't have cared one way or another.

Gannon wouldn't sit on the pine for Pennington at the Jets...
He'd either go to the fics or siogn for a team who would use him in the similar way to us using Kerry Collins... Team like the Cards or Cowboys...
